Phuentsholing Gate

In Phuentsholing, where Bhutan meets the northern Indian border, the main gate towers overhead, allowing for a steady stream of traffic between the two countries. Beautifully painted curling dragons and intricate Bhutanese patterns adorn the gate, which serves as the main port for trade between these neighboring countries.

Trucks carrying supplies and various people on foot continuously cross back and forth; because of the friendly political relationship between Bhutan and India, citizens of the two places can travel back and forth freely.
