Growing our Forests and Communities
In line with Bhutan's constitutional objective of preserving 60% of its land area as forested, MyBhutan is co-leading the effort with Green Bhutan Corporation Limited for the Department of Forests & Park Services to afforest degraded land areas in Bhutan.
As part of this effort, local communities in remote districts are being engaged and employed to afforest the land surrounding their areas. The endeavor is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices and involving communities in the restoration of their natural surroundings.
